We love Sundays around here because we are all workaholics (and we really do love work too)…..but on Sundays, we just don’t work. We decided a long time ago, as soon as we started Brave Girls Club, that we absolutely HAD to take a break once in awhile because we love the work so much and we never want to stop. That is the reason camp never falls on a Sunday…because we try really hard to always set aside the ENTIRE day to devote to our families…..to chilling out….to resting…to being grateful and to recharging our spiritual batteries.

So after we all go to our different churches at our different times on Sunday……..we gather together in the evening to SHINDIG…and I have no idea how we started calling it that…but we SHINDIG almost every Sunday night…..rain or shine. We just get together and chill…..sometimes we have dinner…sometimes we have treats…sometimes we have popcorn and a movie….but mostly we just sit and spend time together and try REALLY hard not to talk about work, or do work……and we laugh a lot a lot a lot….we love to laugh around here. And….we bring all of the kids together….here’s Kathy with her oldest grandson, Hudson,  tonight at the ranch….(he belongs to my niece, Chelsea…she is also a big part of BGC)

Now that it’s warming up….we have been gathering outside. Once you are sitting outside at the ranch…you never want to go back inside…in fact, you never want to go anywhere….it is the most amazing feeling of peace, safety and beauty……so we all sit outside and talk and laugh….and we usually end up going for a walk by the river, too………tonight Marq’s parents came by to show some of our family friends the ranch……..here’s us showing them the last little corner to be cleared, where forest grass will be planted and good things will be happening……there’s the turquoise chicken coop too…which will be getting redecorated this week!!! (yes, the chickens are brave girls and they get a pretty turquoise brave girl coop!!!!)

We had a great walk on the trail tonight…….the trail along the river is sooooo beautiful and we can’t wait to share it with everyone who comes to visit!!!! Here’s Carl and Hilarie enjoying it…we love love love them so much!!! They are always always always helping us with everything we do…..don’t know what we did to deserve amazing friends like this…

Once it started to get dark….we had to come inside…..(darn!) we are getting ready to put string lights all over the back…but that is a project for next week…so we can’t play outside long after dark until then…but we DID have a blast playing a new board game we just got called…. MORPHOLOGY …we highly recommend it…it’s a total blast…very creative and fun!

We made plans for tomorrow and after hearing the big list of stuff we gotta do tomorrow…we all decided it was time to hit the sack……everyone went home and I put my kiddos to bed……and then looked outside to see the biggest most beautiful moon…………rising up above the gorgeous trees……ahhhhh…….time to take a deep breath and get ready for another super busy week. So glad we took the day off today…this week is gonna be nonstop…….we have hundreds of orders to pack and ship tomorrow from our new store…and lots and lots and lots of magical superfun work to do to get ready for camp. It’s gonna be long days…but fun days!!! Ahhhh…look at this moon!! Hope you had a wonderful weekend!!!!!! Love you all so much!!!!!! xoxo
