Well this has been A WEEK……..it’s not quite over but it really has been a long and challenging week……today we took the day to get Chelsea and her family moved across town into their new house…..yesterday Chelsea was in the hospital in early labor at only 7 months along…so we had to practically sit on her to get her to rest and let us get her house packed up and moved the last few days…..but we got it all done late tonight and now she’s cozy in her new house….ready to bring her new baby girl into the world. Our kids were great help today getting everything packed up and ready to go…..we all worked as a team and got it done…..
I wanted to share these photos with you because I woke up to the most spectacular view out here at the ranch……a fog rolled in and made everything even more surreal and magical……..I put on my gardening boots and trudged outside in it to snap a few shots. I wish I could adequately describe what it feels like out here……..the feeling……the view……but mostly the feeling…..this is a very very very special place…..can’t wait to have our debut camp out here in only 1.5 weeks….I know you are getting sick of us saying it…but we really do wish every single one of you could be here with us….we will make sure to take lots of photos so you can share it with us………..there are so many things we have not photographed at all or shown anyone that we will be able to share after camp……for now….check this out……..
And here’s one of the trees that got knocked over in the big storm on Monday night….it was a very crazy storm and left trees and branches spread all over town……..this tree is about 60 feet tall…..it fell from the middle of the forest, over the creek and landed right next to the “FISHING” sign…..tomorrow we will have to cut it into logs and stack it up to dry for firewood. I always feel sad when we lose a tree……..
Ok…..so much more to share but with all of these long work days….gotta get to bed. Thanks for sharing a little slice of our life with us…thanks for being here…thanks for helping us…thanks for believing in what we can all do when we decide to work together as brave girls…all of us…to make the world a better place….thanks for being you….thanks for being awesome.
we really do love you.
xoxo

Beautiful..beautiful…beautiful…from the helpful serving hearts to the beauty of the land and flowers!!!! The Brave Girl Campers coming are going to be surrounded with so much love!!! <3
Oh wow–those fog shots are so ethereal and beautiful. I love the way you see the world. Thank you for sharing glimpses of camp here for those of us who can’t make it–yet!! Oh, and we had a tree-toppling storm here too . . . always a scary and gratitude-bringing time. So glad your family is safe and cozy–including Chelsea and the little one almost ready to come out!
My neighbor lost a huge weeping willow as well! Luckily it didn’t fall on anything important but I’m like you, I hate to see a tree go down. Can’t wait to see the rest of the ranch!
It’s a beautiful place. The campers are going to love it! Thanks for sharing with us!
The fog shots with the bright flowers gave me goosebumps- absolutely spellbinding.
I would seriously enjoy volunteering if you need any help landscaping or gardening!!!! I love helping things to grow!!!
I hate to lose trees – or anything living, for that matter.
Thank you for faithfully encluding us in the happenings over there in “Brave Girl World”.
I love feeling a part of it all.
Good luck to your niece & her family in their new home! My brother & sister-in-law moved into their current home the day before she gave birth to their third child (they now have four children four years and under!) so we know how tough that can be. So glad to see such supportive families!
