Today my two youngest and Kathy’s two youngest started their summertime business….homemade popsicles…..they started with a variety of flavors and set up shop out on the road in front of Brave River Ranch….where approximately 5 cars per hour MIGHT drive by….
But somehow….they sold out, in spite of the lack of traffic…..in the summer there’s lots of foot traffic because people are walking to the river to swim and fish….
They all tasted the sweetness of hard work and success………they are saving their money for something very special that we will tell you about later…but we are pretty darn proud of them and it was fun to look out from the art barn from time to time to see them with their customers…
In other news….the cherry tree is looking spectacular as the cherries get more and more and more red every day…….the apricots are still green…so are the plums and both apple trees…as are the tomatoes on the vine…..so they don’t make pretty pictures yet….but look how pretty these cherries are!!!
So what did WE do today…well….tons of stuff…..we didn’t come in til dark again……..one of the things we did was give our paper lanterns a makeover…….you should see how cool they look now that they are all hung up…..they were so fun to make and we sat in the new art barn and spruced them up for hours…it was a very fun day….
The boys spent the day putting all of the flowers where they go…..and putting drip line into each plant…….I can not begin to tell you how absolutely heavenly it looks and smells here…….really…it is more magical, beautiful & peaceful than even a mind as wild as mine could have ever imagined……hope you all can come visit soon….
We love you!!!
xoxo

Good for them! My little brave boy is selling sno cones in front of our house to raise money for our neighboring city’s k9 unit. We made 26.00 today!
Pure awesomeness! Thank you for sharing your daily life at the Ranch – every post brings a smile to my face! xoxoxoxo
Love seeing all the updates of everything you guys are doing, creating, just amazing. Wish I could visit but I’m ‘down under’ in NZ & we’re just coming to our winter, although its been the coldest June since the 70′s!!! so love looking at all the flowers, trees & so jealous of the girls heading to camp soon. (have to suffice with the online classes) Can’t wait to see the photos- it sure helps me get thru …. so thankyou
SUCH beauty and joy spilling out of the whole Brave family! I know you’re decorating for camp–but wow, you make me want to live this way ALL the time . . . and wonder why I’m not! I’m loving these updates. Keep ‘em coming, please!
Your joy is contagious. (I’d take one of those popsicles, too, if they weren’t sold out and I didn’t live states away.)
Sweet heaven! Just wish I could see all this for myself. Tfs!
Way to go to the Brave kids…what a fun summertime event…they will remember that forever!!! The grounds at the Brave Camp are beautiful…love reading and looking at your post. You’ve truly Inspired me to live my life differently…to live each day to the fullest and enjoy your family and friends. I have up tell you that I’m starting my own version of your vision in my hometown…classes will start in Setember:) thank you for Inspiring me to craft and bring the peace and joy back to my life!!! Have a great summer and hopefully next year I can visit you…cheers!!!
Those lanterns look great. The kids looked so happy. I know I try to stop every time I see a child’s lemonade stand. One little purchase can bring such happiness and smiles.
So awesome and so beautiful! <3 Thank you for sharing. The lanterns made me tear up, is that normal? LOL <3 love you guys!
