Even though it makes us feel crummy and overwhelmed and stressed, we all do it….and I’m not talking about staying up too late binge-watching Netflix. 🙂
Sometimes I procrastinate. (There, I said it.) I put things off. I avoid doing the yucky things on my to-do list. But I don’t think I’m alone…I think lots of us do it. I get WHY we do it…I get why I do it…We do it because we’d rather do something else other than the yucky stuff and the hard stuff and the mind-bending stuff. We do it because we THINK it feels better than doing that hard thing.
But I know better. You know better. We all do. The flipped-on-its-head fact is that when we do the hardest things first, WE FEEL BETTER. WAAAAAY better, in fact. And those yucky things that seemed so big and burdensome?….we often realize they weren’t such a big thing after all.
So wanna join me? Let’s start today…no more excuses. No more waiting for the timing to be perfect, or for ourselves to be perfect. No more waiting for all the lights to be green before we leave the house…
Let’s do the hardest things first and see how much better we feel for the rest of the day. How much lighter…how much more energized…unburdened…lighter and lighter and lighter. Waddaya think?
