Because the TRUTH is you never know what kind of battle someone else has going on in their life, so being kind to EVERYONE is really important. A smile and a kind word might be the thing that makes someone’s day. The bluebird is my truthteller so the art just makes it that much more meaningful.

My favorite Brave Girls to date (and I save and print all my favorites in a binder) is the one on May 10th – about life and settling and how we can improve. LOVE this one – reached deep with in my heart to remind me that where I am now is just perfect and I may not have money – but I do have the energy and desire to beautify my surroundings without having to spend.

I don’t know how I found you guys, but I have only been on your site for maybe 4 days and each day your message is so uplifing. I would be honored to win a registration to this class. I woke up this morning trying to find out if I could afford it and here was this giveaway staring at me in the face. The first thing I read every morning is your daily truth. It is the perfect start to my day. If it’s a message that really resonates with me, I leave it in my inbox for several days and read it over and over again. One that stayed in my inbox for weeks was about loving, not judging, others.
I posted it on facebook: http://www.facebook.com/note.php?created&¬e_id=10150747871650145 and shared how it taught me that appreciating others’ decisions, personal styles, philosophies, etc. instead of judging them opened up more possibilities for me. It also taught me to look a little closer at what others are experiencing or enduring that may be influencing their decisions. When I look through non-judgmental eyes, I can see the courage, creativity, curiosity, etc. that went into these choices and decisions, not just the fact that the choice or decision isn’t one that I would have made.

This particular Daily Truth arrived in my inbox during a very, very tough time and was just perfect! I had just moved across state & lost all income when my unemployment benefits expired. My need to be ‘tough’, the pull to be in survival mode and to isolate myself was dragging me down. I was reminded that there are others who care; who want more for me – just as I want more for myself. The support, encouragement and positive energy that I’ve been gifted since then has made a huge, huge difference to me!

Like so many ” a little birdie told me” is the first thing I read each morning too! I couldn’t pick out one favorite because I am able to pull something from each daily truth. Something that applies to a certain situation or something that I am feeling at the moment. My mom was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s a couple of years ago and I can’t begin to tell you how painful it is…I am the primary caregiver and honestly God and reading “a little birdie told me” has gotten me through! My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer (stage 2) six months ago and we pushed our way through that with a positive outcome. I said all of this to say…that sometimes its hard not to lose yourself in the difficult and stressful moments of life. Times when you been pushed down so far it’s hard to get back up, but through it all there are life lessons to learn and getting “a little birdie told me” reminds me of that daily. AND I forgot to mention I am a big craft person…mixed media, etc. which is how I found your site. I believe my facebook connection is:

My favorite daily truth from the Brave Girls’ club ends like this “Your life is so important — the world is a better place because you are here. There are so many important things that will never be done unless YOU do them. YOU CAN DO IT!” I know a lot of us are embarking on new adventures for this coming school year. What we do makes a difference, even if we don’t see it.
I’m switching schools and positions next school year and I’m scared. Excited, but scared. This spoke to me and reminds me that what I do, wherever I do it, makes a difference. (And it was posted on my birthday which makes me think it’s even cooler!)

My favorite daily truth from Brave Girls Club is: “What would a leap of faith look like? What is it that is holding you back? Would it be so bad just to take that first step? Would it be so bad to stop and really honor yourself and at least listen to that longing?” because it is encouraging me to be the person I want to be, not somebody’s daughter, wife and mom.
