You are still in there….every single bit of you. You might feel like you don’t know who you are anymore…that your identity has been lost….that you are living a life that you can’t even recognize or that your hopes and dreams have been sucked away but some crazy whirlwind…..whether it happened quickly or very very slowly.

Your soul is in there….your heart is in there…..your hopes and dreams and good memories and that happy, fun, adventurous YOU is in there……..it is!

You just gotta get unstuck….and you can. You really can. The first thing you must do is put faith in that hope that you are still in there…..then listen to that hope….talk to it…ask it where it has been and what it needs to come back out. Then keep listening….and take action.

It’s not too late…it’s never, ever too late….and right now seems like the EXACT right time to begin the process of restoring your authentic self back to her true form. You can do it…….don’t let the world miss out on you anymore, gorgeous girl…….we need you…YOU need you!

You have done so many things that you have forgotten about that have been so spectacular, so brave, so kind, so unselfish and so clever.

You have overcome so many things that you have forgotten about that are so heroic, that have taught you so much, and that were and are such an inspiration to others.

You have given so many things back to the world that you have forgotten about that have made such a difference, that have changed lives and that no one could have given except for you.

Try to remember right now…all that you have done…all of the places that you have been and all that you have learned. You have come SUCH A LONG WAY. And, you will continue to do amazing things, to overcome difficult things and to share yourself and make a difference in so many many ways. You are absolutely phenomenal and the world would not be the same without you.

Dear Lovely Girl,

It is going to be ok. Take a deep breath and then another, and just know that everything is going to be just fine.

That big thing you are fearing is so much bigger in your imagination than it is in real life…and it is all going to work out. You know from experience that not everything is easy, or comes easy….but that you have always made it through everything that has come along. You will make it through this too.

Please don’t be afraid of change, dear friend, change has to happen for things to grow…for things to get better…..for things to become what they are meant to become. Change is good. Change is uncomfortable and scary and sometimes seems unnecessary….but change MUST happen for things to progress.

You have a choice in this moment and in the next….and the next and the next and the next. So, if it’s too hard to choose peace in this moment….know that you have the choice to choose it in the next. You get as many chances as you need to choose to feel peace……and, you can do this. You can feel peace even inside of uncertainty.

Just be still, and listen very closely.

It really is going to be ok….and there really is a plan.

We tend to find exactly what we are seeking, and exactly what we are expecting…in some way or another. This is why it is so important to seek for beauty and truth, and to expect the best of people and situations.

What happens when you do your best and expect for the best…when you look for goodness and when you seek for beauty and life surprises you with something that is not so fabulous? What happens when clouds cover the sunshine and walls seem to be around everything?

This is where it gets tricky…and this is where the magic happens too. See your problems as potential teachers…..see your difficulties as stepping stones to your most fabulous life. See your trials as opportunities to become even better at what you are already good at, and to learn things you never could have learned otherwise. See your place in painful situations as perhaps the ONE person who can bring the light into a dark situation.

There is good everywhere you look…..if you decide to look at the good instead of the yuck. True…there is yuck everywhere too……so it’s more important than ever to step right over it, look up into the light…and decide RIGHT THIS SECOND that you are going to be a force for goodness, light, happiness, laughter, optimism, funky dancing, loud singing and creative fun solutions to every dilemma…..because THAT is who you are……..and don’t let anything or anyone ever tell you otherwise.
