Not everyone is going to understand you, or understand your ways…..not everyone is going to understand your heart, your tenderness, your intentions. Not everyone is going to “get” you. Not everyone is going to appreciate you. Not everyone is going to see you, notice you and recognize you. Not everyone is going support you.

Beautiful friend, don’t let ANY of that stop you.

We have got to do the things we know to do, the things our hearts ache to do…we have got to do those things in the ways that only WE can do them….in the ways that are most authentic & most truth-filled for each of us.

When we do things from a soul-deep place, we must find our validation from the source of those things….not from what others on the outside think about what we are doing or how we are doing it.

People who do things from their souls SPARKLE…and will attract other SPARKLING people. Let it go if there are those who can’t stand the brightness of your sparkle…..shine on..and then shine and shine and shine.

You were BORN to shine, you were born to sparkle.

Dear Fantastic Girl,

Take a few moments today, dear friend, to really explore the labels that others may use to define you, or even that you may use to define yourself. Then try to be open to letting those labels go and see what happens.

You see, brilliant soul, that when we decide that we are “smart” or “dumb” or “success” or “failure” or “funny” or “boring”. It can create a self-made trap that MUST be self-released. Even labels that may seem “good” can actually trap us.

What if one day you decided that you wanted to be known for more than being the funny one, or the smart one or the organized one. What if you were ready to just be YOU and nothing else, but then those labels have such a stronghold on you that you think you have to use them to make every decision for the rest of your life.

Here’s a permission slip, friend, to drop EVERY SINGLE LABEL except the one that says that you are a SOUL, a beautiful beautiful just-right soul. Everything else is just clothes to try out, experiences to have and lessons to learn.

Let it go and just be you, ok?

Dear Extraordinary Girl,

Something wonderful that happens to us as we are paying more attention to our souls…and that might not seem like such a wonderful thing…..is the day that we get flat out, undeniably SICK AND TIRED of the way things are.

If you find yourself in this place, lovely friend, take heart and know that this is the catalyst for deep and meaningful change and for the resolve it will take to get from where you don’t want to be to exactly where you want to be, and never go back.

There must come a day when ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, when all of the excuses finally lose their power. There must come a day when things are so far from the path that feels like yours that you will do anything to get on the right path. THIS is a very good day, a day that deserves a thankful heart and serious consideration, attention and some of your undivided time.

So if you are sick and tired of the way things are, this is the doorway to the way things are meant to be. We must step out of what we don’t want to be able to step into what we do want. It is SO WORTH IT.

Keep going, beautiful girl. You are going to get there. You are going to be ok. Everything is going to work out and this will be worth every tear you cry, every mile you walk, every hurdle you overcome.

Dear Learning Girl,

You don’t have to put so much pressure on yourself, you know, beautiful friend. You don’t have to know right now what is next, how it is all going to work out and where you will be a year from now. Trying so hard to have all of it figured out can be exhausting, discouraging and even paralyzing.

What if today, we all just decide that where we are RIGHT NOW is exactly where we are supposed to be, and that knowing that is enough. What if we let the need to control go and if we let the need to know every piece of the plan go, and if we let attachments to specific outcomes go. What if we just TRUST?

We can do our best to make plans, goals and strategies. Those are all very good things. When goal making stops feeling peaceful, when it stops feeling like progress, when it stops feeling right and starts feeling yucky, we need to really examine when it’s time to let go and just trust.

Everything always works out somehow. It just does.
