Did you know that according to the latest statistics, it would take at least 108 years to achieve gender equality in the tech industry? For a long time, we have been under the impression that technology is primarily a man’s domain.

Obviously, with all of the coverage and attention the matter has received in the last decade or so, this is no surprise. Even in the entertainment segment like movies and dramas, it’s majorly men who will cover the technology department and control the computer. Despite widespread claims of gender equality, women held only 26% of professional computing occupations in 2017.

Demographic variety is thought to be good for industrial development since it encourages creativity and, thus, innovation. Such an unequal gender ratio has the ability to obstruct technological advancement, narrowing the gender gap one of the most difficult challenges to solve. All of this is true, but it also makes a job in technology appear to be something women should be forced to pursue rather than something they should desire to do. A career in technology is always fascinating for men, but it’s also exciting for women, and that’s the message we need to spread.

Buy RDPConsider this, as a species, we are missing out on more than half of our population’s contributions to the advancement of technology and other aspects too, as women do not play prominent roles in technology development. Nowadays, even women can buy RDP and negotiate with Windows VPS.

Now that the topic of gender inequality in technology is receiving increased attention, new research indicates new discoveries that provide even more grounds for women to be given greater possibilities in technology. Here are some perspectives you may not have considered yet:

Women Are Better Coders Than Men

Buy RDPGirls are thought to be superior in languages and communication, whereas men exceed women in math and spatial skills. However, this adage lacks credibility because additional scientific research indicates that such talents and shortcomings of oneself may not be related to gender.

When it comes to coding, however, it appears that there is some strong evidence that demonstrates women are better coders than men. Researchers discovered that code submitted by women was approved at a higher rate than code written by men on the software repository GitHub, but only if the gender was not disclosed. “Our findings show that, while women on GitHub may be more competent overall, bias against them persists,” wrote the study’s authors.

Diversity Is Needed In The Workplace

Buy RDPDiversity tends to be the key to achieving sustainability, whether it is in the ecosystem or in your financial portfolio. According to one study, diverse businesses generate 19% more revenue on average compared to the opposite side.

When different points of view and views meet, it generates space for new ideas and movements, which may even assist organisations offset the risks of more unilateral thinking. Companies want a diversified team, thus there is a high demand for female IT expertise in the market, as well as less friction for females to enter the profession.

Tech Is Versatile

Technology is versatile, yes, it is. The whole range of technological careers or areas of expertise can be overwhelming. Women should not dedicate or focus themself to only one specific thing when it comes to learning the tech. Try finding something that looks interesting and could progress into another level.  Developments in genetics, artificial intelligence, robotics, biotechnology are all building and amplifying one another.

Key to The Development

Women make up half of the world’s workforce. How technologically “advanced” can we get if over half of the people refuse to move on to the technology generation?

As more sectors become data-driven and reliant on technology, IT occupations are expanding beyond code and machinery. Traditional non-tech occupations are also being transformed by informatization and becoming more tech-savvy. As a result, basic technological abilities are included as “preferable” talents to the prerequisite portion of job descriptions.

With an increasing number of new occupations combining technology, communication, and creativity, women may have more options when deciding how to contribute to growth.

Buy RDPBest Paying Freelance Jobs

Game developers and web developers are the tenth and second highest paying freelancing employment, respectively. While a freelance working style is favoured by those who have a natural demand for outstanding work-life balance, females have even more significant needs when it comes to pregnancy.

In conclusion, women indeed need to learn the technology and keep up the pace to close the ratio gap of gender imbalance real quick. So in the near future, there will no longer be an argument of which gender is better in IT.
